Further to its announcement on 14 October 2015, Intertek has announced the successful completion of the transaction to acquire Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI), under which Hi-Tech Testing Services, Inc., a provider of non-destructive testing (NDT) services in the US and part of PSI, will join Intertek鈥檚 Industry Services business line.
Hi-Tech offers NDT services to the oil and gas market, primarily for the mid-stream operational/pipeline sectors, and also supports customers in the pulp and paper, railcar, fabrication, chemical and transportation industries.

As the fifth key investment in NDT services, the addition of Hi-Tech positions Intertek is a major provider of NDT services across four international hubs which include the previous acquisitions of NDT Services Ltd in the UK, Global X-Ray & Testing Corporation in the US, INSPEC in the UAE and Adelaide Inspection Services (AIS) in Australia.
Hi-Tech employs 300 personnel across 11 locations in eight States. Integrating Hi-Tech鈥檚 NDT services with Intertek鈥檚 global portfolio of technical services provides local and global customers access to a broad suite of quality and safety services, including testing, inspection, consultancy, certification and training services.
