On Sunday 17 July, Exxon Mobil has suffered another pipeline leak at its petrochemical complex in Houston, Texas. Residents in Baytown had to stay in their homes during a shelter that was later lifted.
Exxon released a statement stating that the company had 鈥渟hut down two chemical product pipelines in Baytown this morning to investigate a release. We are working with local emergency responders and closely with local officials to ensure the safety of the public. We are continuing to study the source of the release鈥�.
