According to , Iraq will not continue pumping crude to Turkey through a Kurdish pipeline until the country makes a financial agreement with the Kurdish government.
State-run North Oil Company usually supplies 150 000 bpd through the pipeline to the Ceyhan terminal. As stated by , the Iraqi oil minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, outlined ‘two options’ for supply to continue: a return to the earlier agreement between Iraq and the Kurdish Regional Government, which would see the country receive 17% of federal budget. Alternatively, a new agreement could be drawn up.
