Wood Group awarded automation project for Tengiz Field in Kazakhstan

Wood Group has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by Bechtel to provide an automation solution consisting of detailed engineering, control hardware and remote instrument enclosures (RIEs) for Tengizchevroil鈥檚 (TCO鈥檚) crude storage capacity project at the Tengiz Field in Kazakhstan. The project will increase capacity of the tank farm to accommodate the upgrading of the existing tank farm.

This project continues Wood Group Mustang鈥檚 work with TCO in the expansion and modernisation of their control infrastructure. 鈥淲e are combining the expertise and capabilities of our Automation and Controls personnel in the UK, US and Argentina to design and deliver a cost-effective solution that meets TCO鈥檚 needs,鈥 stated Michele McNichol, CEO of Wood Group Mustang.
