Alliance Pipeline has announced that it has re-opened its mainline system after a pipeline contamination of poisonous gas.

How was this accomplished?

Alliance had been flaring its natural gas in Saskatchewan to remove the hydrogen sulfide that contaminated the system.

After receiving operational lineback from shippers, the company was able to restart the mainline system and resume transportation.

Daniel Sutherland, Alliance's Vice President for commercial operations stated: "Alliance is pleased to be safely resuming operational service for our customers. We appreciate the cooperation and patience of local residents, officials and communities and our customers as we safely reduced the amount of hydrogen sulphide in the pipeline to a safe level through our flaring operations.鈥

Seven Generations Energy

Seven Generations has been helping Alliance restart the pipelines transportation of natural gas, by selling and injecting volumes of natural gas as part of the shippers contributing to the operational lineback.
