In the oil and gas industry, trade fairs present unrivalled opportunities for business, networking, showing off new technology and to expand a company's presence and increase awareness. From here, technological trends and innovations spread out into the rest of the world

For companies producing, processing or trading wires, cables and tubes on the world market, the International Wire and Cable Trade Fair, and Tube, International Tube Trade Fair, which are held in D眉sseldorf every two years, prove more and more popular within this sector.

Recently the two trade fairs closed their doors in D眉sseldorf after achieving a new exhibitor record. During the five trade fair days, around 2500 companies from all corners of the world provided information on the latest machines, plants and products from the wire, cable and tube processing industries.

Commenting on the event, exhibitors agreed that there was excellent interest in purchasing. Many deals were made and new, interesting business contacts were acquired. There was high praise for the visitor quality, and D眉sseldorf鈥檚 reputation as the no. 1 international platform for the presentation of industry news was confirmed again.

鈥淔or us as trade fair organisers, the somewhat euphoric mood in the exhibition halls, the orders made here and the expectation of good post-fair business are important indicators that we are right with the trade fair date and the product range,鈥� Joachim Sch盲fer, Managing Director, Messe D眉sseldorf GmbH, reported happily.

鈥淐ompanies invest heavily in D眉sseldorf in order to remain present amongst the international competition,鈥� added Friedrich-Georg Kehrer, Director of wire 2012 and Tube 2012. 鈥淗ere, the companies meet qualified business partners from all over the world, and many new contacts are made as well.鈥�

A display area of more than 106聽000 m² was booked for the exhibitors, a new record compared to the previous events in the years 2010 and 2008.

A significant 73 500 trade visitors from 111 countries visited the exhibition centre on the River Rhine over the five days. This is an increase of 6.3% compared to 2010. In that year, 69 200 trade fair visitors came from around 100 countries.
