Transneft Siberia receives positive opinion for reconstruction of oil pipeline

Transneft Siberia has received a positive opinion of the Main Department of State Expertise (Glavgosexpertiza) of Russia in relation to project documentation concerning reconstruction of the Surgut-Polotsk oil trunk pipeline (OTP) (from 729th km to 750th km).
According to the project, 20 km of line portion of the Surgut-Polotsk OTP with a diameter of 1200 mm will be replaced. The pipe will be laid in a new trench with subsequent connection to the operating oil pipeline.
Production facilities will be reconstructed in accordance with the company's development programme. The main objective is to ensure reliability and environmental safety of Transneft Siberia's oil trunk pipeline system facilities.
