AREVA Inc. has signed an agreement with Novinium庐 to provide patented rejuvenation technology to the nuclear industry.

This partnership is the first of its kind in the industry, and will provide nuclear power plants with a safe and cost-effective solution to extend the life of underground cable infrastructure.

Cable rejuvenation technology

As part of its 鈥楩orward Alliance鈥� program for the optimisation of nuclear power plant safety and operations, AREVA will offer Novinium鈥檚 Ultrinium鈩� fluid using its patented sustained pressure rejuvenation (SPR) injection method for nuclear power plant applications.

Novinium鈥檚 cable rejuvenation technology restores the full dielectric strength of a cable to like-new condition, and extends the life and reliability of these cables for a further 40 years at a fraction of the cost for a traditional cable replacement.
