IMI Critical Engineering, in conjunction with local Saudian Arabian partner, Al Najim Saudi International, held an official ceremony to commemorate the opening of a new repair centre in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

The new facility will play a key role in IMI Critical Engineering鈥檚 continued expansion, with its IMI CCI business aiming to accelerate growth within the Middle East. The global leader in critical flow control technologies has identified the region as key owing to ever-expanding demand within the oil and gas, petrochemical and power sectors across the Middle East. The new facility will allow IMI CCI to work even more closely with its burgeoning customer base.

IMI CCI will work closely with Al Najim in the operational management of the centre, providing technical support and expertise. The new facility will support installation of IMI CCI valves, as well as after-sales and service for the complete range of IMI Critical Engineering products. Other services include inspection, upgrade, full valve recertification and testing, in addition to turnkey outage support. Amer Refai, Regional Senior Director of IMI CCI, said: 鈥淔ollowing extensive consultations with our clients in the region, the need for a new repair centre became apparent to us and we were quick to take action on this insight.鈥�

Fabio Giove, one of IMI CCI鈥檚 qualified Valve Doctors^庐, commented: 鈥淎t the opening, we were able to showcase our valves in action, thanks to a 鈥榙emo unit鈥� of a complete turbine bypass drive driven by a Quicktrack/FasTrak commutable positioning system. Needless to say, customers were very impressed with the speed of response of our equipment and the technological and diagnostic capabilities of our devices, as well as the wider facilities on offer.
