Nord Stream to shut down for 10 days

Nord Stream AG will be conducting routine annual maintenance works on its twin gas pipeline system between 11 and 20 August 2015. Both pipelines will be shutdown at the same time for a 10 day period as part of a long term pipeline integrity management plan.
The maintenance work includes annual maintenance of mechanical components and testing of the automation system. The schedule for these maintenance activities has been agreed and coordinated with Nord Stream鈥檚 upstream and downstream pipeline partners well in advance.
Pipeline integrity management plan
Nord Stream鈥檚 long-term pipeline integrity management strategy is to ensure that the pipelines will have the ability to continue transporting up to 55 billion m3 of gas each year. These works are an essential part of Nord Stream AG鈥檚 plan, to operate these works in a safe and efficient for at least 50 years.
