The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) Water Resources Division has issued Enbridge Energy Partners, L.P. a permit to install 22 anchor support structures into the lake bed on Line 5 pipelines to decrease the span distance at these locations within the Straits of Mackinac.
